Movie being filmed at cemetery
Another movie is scheduled to be filmed in the Truckee-Reno area.
Sundowner, a movie starring Kirk Douglas, Lauren Bacall and Dan Akroyd, will include scenes from the Truckee area, according to Reno-based location scouts.
Next week, filming is planned at the Sierra Mountain Cemetery in Truckee.
Movie officials are being tight-lipped about the day and time because of the limited access to the cemetery, Truckee mortician and cemetery boardmember Joe Aguera said.
“There’s not enough room even at the cemetery,” he said. “The movie company doesn’t need any extra traffic congestion.”
Aguera said the movie company, “Sundowner,” said cemetery filming would involve only one day of shooting with Kirk Douglas.
