TRUCKEE, Calif. – Nevada County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team will be out in full force all-day Saturday searching for donations to fund training, equipment, and gear.

“NCSSR- on call 24/7/365 so others can live,” the group’s slogan states.

By donating to the cause you could indirectly play a part in saving a life.

In a social media post the Search and Rescue team encouraged people in the area to “keep an eye out for our orange shirts and come say Hi!”

There will be multiple locations throughout the town of Truckee to stop by say ‘hi’ and donate to the cause: Safeway, CVS Plaza, Mountain Hardware, Savemart, Deerfield Plaza, McDonald’s, SaveMart Center, Raley’s ONE Market, Coffee Bar, Zurie’s Coffee, DMV Plaza, Starbucks, Soaring Ranch, and Old Town. People can stop by any of those locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Donations are also accepted online here https://www.nevadacountysar.org/how-to-donate.html
