New leader is picked for Sierra Business Council

Steve Frisch is the Sierra Business Councils new president.

After former President David Mattocks announced his resignation in

September, Frisch, a founding member of the Sierra Business Council,



was

chosen to fill the position, according to a release from the business



council.

Frisch has been with the council for over a decade, working with

programs

like Placer Legacy, the Sierra Nevada Conservancy effort, and the

Working

Landscapes Initiative. Most recently he was the vice president of

programs.

The Sierra Business Council is a nonprofit association of more than 700

businesses, agencies, and individuals throughout the Sierra. Council

projects focus on community-based planning, conservation, leadership

development, and sustainable business and development.
