TRUCKEE “-More than two dozen people attended Wednesday night’s Tahoe Truckee Unified School District board meeting, where members Kirsten Livak, Kristy Olk and Lisa Mohun were sworn into their new seats.

Also, board members Nancy Gisko and Monty Folsum were honored for their years of service.

“My goal is to understand how the district is run, to go to the school sites and incorporate as many principals and teachers into our meetings as possible,” Mohun said. “I hope to be a good board member for the people I serve.”

Livak said: “I think this will be a very interesting four years. I’ve spent time getting to know the other board members and figuring out how we’ll interact and deal with the obstacles we’re up against. We’ve also got such an opportunity as a district and we’ve got a lot of strengths.”
