No damage from 2.5 quake near Truckee

TRUCKEE ” A small earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 hit in the Sierra near U.S. Interstate 80 west of Truckee but no damage was reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the epicenter of the quake that struck at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday was in the Tahoe Donner development about 4 miles west of Truckee and 28 miles west of Reno. The USGS listed the depth as 2.7 miles.
