North Tahoe crime logs: Aug. 15-27
TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriffand#8217;s Office press log for Aug. 15-27.
and#8226; At 4:30pm on Speedboat Avenue in Kings Beach, officers found a subject stumbling in the middle of the road and took him into protective custody for drunk in public.
and#8226; At 7:00pm on the 8500 Block of Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, during a landlord/tenant dispute, the female tenant threatened her landlord with a large knife. The female was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
and#8226; At 10:45pm in Truckee, a female was arrested on felony warrant out of Placer County.
and#8226; At 5:00pm on Highway 267 and Regency Way in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody for drunk in public after ensuing in a verbal argument.
and#8226; At 10:30pm on Highway 28 in Tahoe City, a subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence.
and#8226; At 6:00pm on Commons Beach in Tahoe City, a subject was found passed out and subsequently was arrested for public intoxication.
and#8226; At 5:00pm on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a belligerent subject was arrested for drunk in public after challenging several people to a fight, yelling at them and stealing a hamburger off a table at a local eatery.
and#8226; At 6:00pm on Bristlecone Beach in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed victimand#8217;s unlocked dinghy from the beach.
and#8226; At 11:30pm on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, two subjects were located on the roof of a business. It was determined the subjects were part of a Bachelor party and slightly intoxicated. No damage was incurred. A taxi was dispatched to the scene.
and#8226; At 10:30am on the 40000 Block of Truckee Airport Road in Truckee, a victimand#8217;s bike was stolen from storage in the morning, then mysteriously reappeared in the afternoon after reporting the incident.
and#8226; At 12:15am on Highway 28 and Grove Street In Tahoe City, after receiving a report of a hit and run to a tree, officers located the driver and turned him over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.
and#8226; At 3:00pm on the 9000 Block of Lake Street in Kings Beach, two subjects were cited and released for trespassing on private property.
and#8226; At 5:00pm on the 100 Block of Basque Drive in Northstar, a female was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect allegedly hit the and#8220;groom to beand#8221; in the head with a golf club minutes before his wedding. The groom was transported to the hospital, where he received stitches. However, he made it back in time to say and#8220;I do.and#8221;
and#8226; Sometime in the past two days on the 300 Block of Lake Forest in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed $1,700 worth of personal property from victimand#8217;s unlocked vehicle.
