TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Below are incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for the month of January 2011.

Jan. 1

At midnight, on the 200 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a subject was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

At 12:45 a.m., near the intersection of Highway 28 and Jackpine Street in Tahoe City, an intoxicated subject seen running through traffic was subsequently taken into protective custody for being drunk in public.

At 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 28 and Agate Road in Agate Bay, a subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 2 p.m. on Kings Way in Tahoe Vista, a person reported that an unknown suspect had stolen a laptop computer from the personand#8217;s unlocked vehicle two weeks prior.

At 1 p.m. on the 4000 block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, a person reported that an unknown suspect had removed a purse from the personand#8217;s unlocked vehicle sometime in the past two days.

Jan. 4

At 3:30 p.m. on the 8500 block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, two subjects were caught on videotape stealing a speaker from a business and were later arrested for theft.

Jan. 5

On the 3000 block of Lake Forest Road in Tahoe City, several reports were taken for a rash of vehicle thefts that occurred overnight. Mostly personal accessories and cash were taken from unlocked cars.

At 2:30 p.m. on the 6000 block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoma, a subject was arrested for trespassing when it was determined he was living in an unoccupied residence. Drug charges were also added.

At 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of National Avenue and Grey Lane in Tahoe Vista, a subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

Jan. 7

At 1:30 p.m. on Dolly Varden Avenue in Kings Beach, a subject was arrested on two Placer County felony warrants.

Jan. 8

At 1 a.m. on Northstar Drive in Truckee, a subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 4 p.m. in the parking lot of an area ski resort, officers responded to report that an unknown suspect pulled the handle off a personand#8217;s vehicle.

Jan. 9

At 8 a.m. on the 5000 block of West Lake Boulevard in Homewood, officers responded to a report that an unknown suspect removed a GPS system and bicycle from a personand#8217;s unlocked vehicle.

At 10:45 a.m. on Tiger Tail Road in Olympic Valley, officers took a report regarding cultivation of marijuana in a residence. A complaint was sent to the Placer County District Attorneyand#8217;s Office.

Jan. 12

Officers took a report of a possible prowler roaming through Cedar Flat two weeks prior.

Jan. 13

At 9 a.m. near Brockway Summit, an unknown suspect attempted to break into storage trailers. Damage was estimated at $250; nothing was taken.

Jan. 14

At 10:45 a.m. on the 850 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed a personand#8217;s purse while patronizing a local drinking establishment.

Jan. 15

At 2:45 a.m. on the 8500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, deputies observed a female stumbling in the middle of the road. She was subsequently arrested for drunk in public.

Jan. 16

At 1 a.m. near the intersection of Highway 28 and National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was apprehended for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jan. 18

At 12:15 a.m. on Squaw Loop Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested due to his high level of intoxication after he threw a keg of beer inside a drinking establishment.

At 12:45 a.m. on Squaw Loop Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was 86and#8217;d from a local bar due to high level of intoxication. When contacted by deputies, the subject was unable to convey his name or residence to deputy. Subject was taken into protective custody under the drunk in public penal code.

Jan. 19

At 8:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a suspect was taken into protective custody due to his public intoxication level.

At 10:45 p.m. on the 700 block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, after a report of a verbal argument, a male subject was found to have a no-bail warrant out of Placer County. He was arrested.

Jan. 22

At 6 p.m. on the 6000 block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoma, a male subject was arrested on four Placer County warrants.

Jan. 24

At 1:30 p.m. on Highlands View Road in Truckee, two females got into a physical altercation over a male. The primary aggressor was arrested for battery, per citizenand#8217;s arrest.

Jan. 25

At 7:45 a.m. on the 8100 block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject broke into business and passed out in the sauna sometime after midnight. The subject was arrested in the morning for trespassing, vandalism and drunk in public.

At 9 a.m. on the 2300 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a report was taken of defrauding an innkeeper after two subjects left in the middle of the night without paying their motel bill.

Jan. 27

At 3:30 p.m. on the 3000 block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, three male subjects were arrested on multiple drug related charges.

At 6:30 p.m. on Grand Avenue in Homewood, a male subject was arrested on multiple drug related charges (not related to previous entry in Tahoe City).

Jan. 28

At 6:30 p.m. on Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown armed suspect held up a local business and removed more than $4,000 in cash and jewelry.

Jan. 29

At 9:15 p.m. on Beaver Street in Kings Beach, an intoxicated female was arrested for trespassing, vandalism and drunk in public.

Jan. 30

At midnight near the Wye in Tahoe City, a female was pulled over for swerving and equipment violations. She was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 6:30 a.m. on Talvista Drive in Tahoe City, a female was arrested for two outstanding Placer County warrants.

At 5 p.m. on Northstar Drive in Truckee, a male subject was arrested for drunk in public due to his inability to care for himself.

At 11 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 28 and Speedboat in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for suspected DUI.
