North Tahoe crime logs: June 15-30



Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 15-24.

June 15



At 7 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke into business and stole cash and checks.



June 16

At 7 p.m. on Highway 28 at Beaver Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication when he was found walking and weaving in and out of traffic.

June 19

At 7 a.m. on the 900 Block of Country Club Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke into victim’s vehicle and removed personal property.

June 20

Sometime overnight, on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke into business and stole cash.

At 5 p.m. on the 9000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a victim’s laptop was stolen by a suspect who possibly knew the victim.

June 21

At 6 p.m. on the 700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a victim’s wallet from inside a local business.

June 22

At 6:45 p.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested after vomiting all over the floor and furniture in a business. His charges were minor in possession of alcohol (20 years old) and public intoxication.

June 23

At 1 a.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, deputies responded to a report of a physical fight, but when they arrived the victim was lying in the street in a pool of blood. The victim claimed he had fallen and refused to cooperate with possible suspect information. He was transported to the hospital where he received 15 stitches to his head.

At 10:45 a.m. on the 8100 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male suspect rented a room for the night, then left in the morning and took several items not belonging to him.

Sometime overnight on Highway 89 in Homewood, an unknown suspect stole a wooden homeowner’s association sign, resulting in $2,500 loss.

June 24

At 3 a.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for committing a rash of commercial and residential burglaries on North Lake Boulevard and Bend Avenue in Kings Beach.

At 6 p.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a victim reported his phone was stolen while patronizing a local business.

At 11:15 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Commonwealth in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

June 25

At 1 p.m. on the 1000 Block of Salisbury Lane in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect fraudulently gained access to victim’s social security number and account number and attempted to wire $37, 000 using this information. The wire was canceled prior the loss.

At 2 p.m. on the 200 Block of Bear Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

At 8 p.m. on the 8300 Block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, a report was taken for embezzlement between family members.

At 9:45 p.m. on the Highway 28 at Bear Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of driving under the influence.

June 26

At 5:30 p.m. on Aspen Street in Tahoe City, report was taken for vandalism and trespassing. An unknown suspect damaged the gate that provides access to the beach.

At 8 p.m. on the 200 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence while visiting on vacation.

At 9:30 p.m. on Bristlecone Street in Tahoe City, a male subject was pulled over for speeding and was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol.

June 27

At 12:1 5.a.m on Highway 89 at Sequoia Avenue in Tahoe City, a male subject was pulled over for speeding and subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol fir DUI.

At 12 p.m. on the 300 Block of Winding Creek in Olympic Valley, a report was taken for civil dispute over property. The roommate has since moved out.

Sometime overnight on the 3000 Block of Edgewater Drive in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole two paddleboards from the beach, resulting in a $3,300 loss.

At 6:30 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was pulled over and turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 8 p.m. on the 8700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a report was taken for an assault. The victim was uncooperative.

June 28

At 12:30 a.m. on the 300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, deputies responded to a report of a subject passed out on the sidewalk. When he “came to,” he thought he was in San Francisco. The subject was arrested for public intoxication for his own safety.

At 10 a.m. on the 8500 Block of Loch Levon Avenue in Kings Beach, a report was taken for documentation of a verbal dispute over child custody issues.

At 1 p.m. on the 400 Block of Fountain Avenue in Tahoe City, a report was taken for the theft of two parachutes. The suspect had permission to use paraglide, but not anything else.

At 1:30 p.m. on the 3000 Block of Lake Forest Glenn in Tahoe City, a report was taken for a violation of restraining order. An ex-boyfriend was texting victim against the court order.

At 6:30 p.m. on Highway 28 at Rocky Ridge Road in Tahoe City, a female was turned over to California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 7 p.m. on Highway 267 at Northstar Drive, deputies responded to a subject running in and out of traffic on the Highway. The male subject was taken into custody for drunk in public.

At 8 p.m. on the 9000 Block Cove Avenue in Kings Beach, a citizen report was taken of a welfare check on a female, which turned into DUI.

At 3:30 p.m. on the 13000 Block of Ritz Carlton in Truckee, a male subject confronted a female driver about her poor driving habits.

June 30

Sometime overnight on the 8600 Block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, a possibly known suspect broke into victim’s house and stole $1,300 in electronics.

At 8:30 p.m. on the 400 Block of North lake Boulevard, a male subject patronized two different restaurants, ordered food and drinks and left without paying.
