TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — North Tahoe Fire Capt. Ray O’Brien, retired; Capt. Dan Gomez; firefighter/paramedic Brent Armstrong; and firefighter Billy Haupert awarded a check for $500 to Coldwell Banker agent Elaine Durazo from the North Tahoe Firefighters Association for the Toys for Tots program. Durazo is the lead Tahoe-Truckee coordinator for the Toys for Tots Foundation, working with several Coldwell Banker agents and the U.S. Marine Corps.

The check from the North Tahoe Firefighters Association will be used by the Toys for Tots program coordinators to purchase toys for Truckee and North Tahoe children who are in much need of a gift during the 2013 holiday season.

This has been a long-standing tradition near and dear to North Tahoe Firefighters Association members, who are at hand for the communities at all times when called upon.

This is their way of extending good will and paying it forward to local citizens.
