North Tahoe golf | Boerner named to 2A All-State first team

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; North Tahoe senior golfer Travis Boerner was named to the 2A All-State first team, while teammate Justin and#8220;Busterand#8221; Fenley was received All-State honorable mention recognition.

The awards were determined by 2A coaches.

Joining Boerner and#8212; who finished in a tie for seventh place at the 2A State Championship and#8212; was joined on the first team by Foster Kenton of Mineral County, Dylan Turner and Jens Verhey of Sage Ridge, Trevor Fairbank and T.J. Kolesnik of Whittell, and Tony Wallock of Battle Mountain.

Incline junior Jordan Wright, who earned the individual state title, was named Player of the Year, while Whittell’s Steve Maltase and Sage Ridge’s Dean Miller were Co-Coaches of the Year.

Fenley tied for ninth in the state championship tournament.
