North Tahoe riders represent in Revolution Tour SBX

U.S. Snowboard Team and Sun Staff report

Three North Tahoe snowboarders earned top-5 finishes in Sunday’s snowboardcross competition in the Chevy Revolution Tour at Copper Mountain, Colo.

Truckee’s Donald Nyberg finished third, while Nick Langkamp of Incline Village palced fourth and Pat Holland of Tahoe City fifth. Lucas Dehmlow of Crested Butte, Colo., took the top spot and Cleve Johnson of Basalt, Colo., was second.

In the women’s competition, U.S. Snowboarding’s Brooke Shaw of Litchfield, Conn., won after leading in the qualifying round.

Shaw, the reigning Revolution Tour snowboardcross and halfpipe champion, was followed by Jenna Feldman (Linwood, NJ) in second and Jacqueline Hernandez (Londonderry, VT) third.

“It was a great day,” said Abbi Nyberg, U.S. Snowboarding program manager. “We actually had very fast course with a lot of upsets. It was a pretty good showing for some of the older racers.”
