Constance “Connie” Stewart Love

Constance “Connie” Stewart Love passed away Thursday March 16, 2017 of natural causes in Truckee.

Born in Los Angeles in 1924, Connie was raised on a ranch where she learned to break horses at seven years of age. In 1946, Connie married the love of her life, her husband Jack. They lived the American Dream and raised their family in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California before retiring to the Truckee Tahoe area in 1988.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Love, her brother Lovell “Bud” DeLois Stewart and a son Corey Allen Love who was born at rest.

Connie is survived by her sister Janet Stewart Walter of Las Vegas, NV, son Bradley Dale Love (JoAnn) of Sammamish, WA, son Christopher Owen Love (Cathy) of Kings Beach, CA, daughter Cathleen Anne Mertes (James) of Thousand Oaks, CA, daughter Kelly-Colleen Hernandez (Victor) of Truckee, CA, grandchildren Amy Taylor (Bryin), Julia Mertes, Cameron Mertes (Patty), Colin Love, Patrick Love, Ryan Love, and Isabella Hernandez, and four great grandchildren, June Mejorado, Anthony, Abel and Amelia Mertes.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Connie Saturday April 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Mountain View Mortuary 425 Stoker Ave Reno, NV. 89503. In lieu of flowers the family would like to suggest donations be made to Tahoe Forest Hospital Extended Care Center in Connie’s name.
