Edmund Temple

August 8, 23, 1933 ~ February 21, 2017

Edmund Temple was born August 23, 1933 in San Francisco. He passed away February 21, 2017. “Ed” was a Father, a Grandfather, and a friend to many.

After graduating from Balboa High School, Ed went on to play professional baseball . When his career was cut short due to an injury, he sought a career in advertising. He loved to tell stories about working for the San Francisco Chronicle in the 1960s.

Ed fell in love with the Sierra Mountains; there was no other place he wanted to be. Colfax, his home for 15 years, is where he opened Ed’ s Little Red Hen, a popular restaurant that still lives in the hearts of many.

A lifetime of adventure and fulfillment, Ed was an entrepreneur, a traveler and a free spirit. He lived his days where he wanted to be, doing the things he wanted to do and was surrounded with love.”
