Isabel Bee Brown

With deepest sorrow we say goodbye to our beautiful, sweet, Isabel Bee Brown. As she soars away on angel wings, we know that she will be watching over us. Especially big sister Emma.

Anyone who laid eyes on Izzy fell in love at first sight. She stole the hearts of so many in her short two years, and her impact will last a lifetime. While her time was too short after passing away unexpectedly in her sleep; her life was pure bliss. She knew the world only for its beauty and light, blissfully unaware of its challenges. We’ll see her in Tahoe star-filled nights and unexpected rainbows, and hear her in the soft whispers of the Sugarpines and the hush of early season snow. She will be with us always in our hearts.

Isabel is survived by her loving parents, Christian and Jamie Brown, and adored sister Emma, of Tahoe City; her maternal grandparents Bill and Barbara Gordon of Tahoe City; paternal grandparents Bente and Sanford Antin of New York City, and Robert and Gwen Brown of Des Moines, Iowa, her uncle Rob Brown of South Lake Tahoe, her uncles Mike and David Brown, and her many great aunts, uncles and second cousins.

“We extend our deepest gratitude and thanks to all of the family, friends and members of the community who have been there for us to offer comfort and support. We love you.”

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Izzy’s beloved A+ Preschool program at the First Baptist Church of Tahoe City. Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 7433, Tahoe City, CA 96145, made payable to “A+ Program” with “Isabel A+ Fund” in the memo line, or online at, pressing the online giving button, and selecting the “Isabel Brown A+ Fund.” All donations will benefit the A+ Preschool, which does so much for our community.
