John Edward Ferguson, age 64, passed away October 19, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno. John was a beloved husband, father, brother and Grandpa, and was an amazing eternal optimist and dreamer. Even in the most difficult times, John saw only the best, and was a wonderful man to be around.

He was born in Watertown, New York August 18, 1952 and was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Murray Ferguson & Erleen Henry Ferguson, and his brother Alan Ferguson. He is survived and terribly missed by his wife of 35 years, Debra Ferguson; children and spouses, Scott Ferguson, Bryan Ferguson & Lisa Conely-Ferguson, Fred & Torie Quinterno, and J.D. Ferguson; grandchildren, Tanner & Delia Quinterno, Isaiah, MacKenna, Kiah, Sophia, and Elysia Conely-Ferguson; siblings and spouses, Chuck & Peggy Ferguson, Chuck & Barbara Klemme, Sharon Ferguson, Mary Ferguson & Marie Cawley, and David Ferguson, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. John will be missed by his family as well as his many friends, co-workers, employees, and customers who he enjoyed getting to know and spending time with throughout his life.

John was a humble individual and did not believe in services for himself, therefore his family will not be having a service per his wishes, but will have a quiet family gathering to celebrate his life.
