Michael Lawrence Turner

October 1, 1963- April 15, 2014

Michael Lawrence Turner passed away Tues. April 15th 2014 with his family and friends by his side. Mike was born on Oct. 1st., 1963 in Walnut Creek, Ca. to Jerrold and Janet Turner. He spent his younger years vacationing in Tahoma at the family home. When he was 17 Mike decided to make Tahoe his permanent home. He loved the outdoors and became a Rubicon Trail regular. Dirtbiking, snowmobiling and rockcrawling were all mikes passions.He built his own buggy and drove it in one of the Snowfest parades. Starting from a small firewood business, Mike built”Turner Tree Service” from the ground up. He was successful locally for 30 years. Expanding his business to assist in the Hurricane Katrina clean-up as well as efforts in the Lake Arrowhead fire. He was a master of his craft and had many loyal customers. The proudest moments of Mike’s life were being a father to his son, Sean. They shared many amazing times together and Sean will miss him greatly. Also remembering Mike are his parents Jerrold and Janet, brother Jim, sister Julie, nieces Natalie and Jamie and countless friends. Be at peace Mike, we love you! A memorial will be held May 31st at 3:00pm in the South Lodge of Homewood Mountain Resort. Donations can be made to Sean Turner at Plumas Bank, Tahoe City
