Obituary: Deborah Ann Lund

Deborah Ann Lund passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on September 16, 2015, three weeks after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.

Debbie was born on December 16, 1951 in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada. Debbie moved to San Francisco in 1953 with her family until graduating from Hillsdale High School in San Mateo in 1970.

She married her High School sweetheart, the late John Lund on September 16, 1972. Debbie passed away both on her lucky number 16 and the day of what would have been her 43rd wedding anniversary.

Debbie spent most of her time raising her two boys while working at Tahoe Lake Elementary, North Tahoe Intermediate, and Glenshire Elementary as a Teachers Aid.

Debbie was an active volunteer in the North Tahoe Community and was loved by many for her loving, compassionate, and fun personality.

“Deb” was always willing to give of herself to others, and provided a soft shoulder to anyone she encountered. Debbie lived in Reno for the last 15 years, but her heart always remained loyal to the lake.

Debbie will be dearly missed by her family and friends and is survived by her two sons Matt and Brad Lund, older sister Pam Briner, younger brother Bruce Pitman, and her four grandchildren Eva, Anja, Brayden, and Bennett Lund.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Tahoe Lake Elementary School in Debbie’s Name.
