Obituary: Margretta G. Graff

Our family is sad to announce the passing of Margretta G. Graff on November 19, 2014, at the wonderful age of 93 1/2 years old.

Marge leaves behind two daughters, Linda Graff (Reno), Heidi Avalos (Truckee), son-in-law Ray Avalos, and “the apple of her eye” – granddaughter, Alana Avalos. Marge also leaves behind step-grandchildren, Alan Hobbs, Toby Avalos & Tristin Avalos, along with a great-grandson, Travis Hobbs.

Marge enjoyed life to its fullest — loved to travel the world and to meet new friends along the way. She always love the mountains, so her happiest trip was when she re-located from Southern California (Fallbrook) to Truckee in 1993. While the rest of us might be complaining about the snow, Marge was “happiest with a shovel in her hand enjoying the peace and beauty that surrounds Truckee.”

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Tahoe Truckee Extended Care Center, where Marge spent the last three years. ECC became her family along with being provided the best care possible. Thank you Jackie, Max and the rest of the WONDERFUL STAFF at ECC.
