Obituary: Marvin Olaf (Skaflestad) Baker

Marvin passed away June 22, 2015, in Truckee, CA, after a year long battle with leukemia with his loving wife, daughter and dogs by his side.

He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, hiking, skiing, and many other pursuits. He was a extremely mechanically inclined person and could fix anything. He was employed for the past thirty years by Tahoe Forest Hospital, managing the facilities department. Most recently he was the hospital’s representative for the Measure C construction bond.

No service will be held. A memorial service is still to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Marvin and family would prefer that you donate to your favorite charity or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in his honor.
