Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Friend

Naomi was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had a good sense of humor that was based on the social political state of the human race. She was a poet, a reader, a woman’s advocate.
She worked at Northstar from 2001 to 2005 in the building maintenance department. Then she spent the last 17 years at Alpine Stove and Chimney, as the office manager, she was the voice on the phone.
She was a crossword puzzle lady, a movie buff, a trivia fan and a defender of all beings, big and small. We enjoyed cocktails at various bars in and around Old Truckee, it was our way to wind down after a good day’s work. We often took walks along the Truckee River Trail, just talking and being together. We often read books to each other so we could read the same book at the same time. We often wrote stories together, thinking about that one screenplay we could write.
We started our blended family together in Capitola, CA, then later in Truckee, CA. With our 3 girls, Starr, April and Baelaya, all 3 of which are grown and successful, we have always been very proud.
This year we were looking towards our plans for our retirement years. Now we are all just missing Naomi. She will live forever in my heart and soul. She was and always will be the love of my life.

Loving husband, Andrew Phillip Berendsen
I love you Naomi
