Obituary: Patrick James Geary

Aug. 10, 1943 – Sep. 26, 2015

Patrick James Geary passed away at home on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Patrick was born in Tuscon, Arizona on August 10th, 1943. He was raised in Sacramento, CA and graduated High School from Bishop Armstrong.

Patrick moved to Reno, Nevada, in 1965 to attend University of Nevada Reno. In 1966 he purchased Incline Glass Inc for 45 years he was the glass man with an attitude. His love was in farming and owning land; in 1982 Pat and his family moved to Gardnerville, Nevada. Gardnerville is where he found his home and his Ranch. He opened his ranch to the public for weddings and parties, and he was known for his horseshoe tournaments and in the past four years. The Valley View Ranch was home to the Northern Nevada Antique Power Club Tractor Show.

John Deere tractors were Pat’s passion; he loved every aspect of John Deere and his collection was a testament to his love. Pat said in his own words, “he had a great life” and a great life he did have.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ann Geary, his daughter, Kris Hughes (Pac Hughes), his son Jason Geary and his youngest, Daughter Lizbeth Geary (Greg Chico).

Patrick had eight grandchildren Dallas, Dawson, Hailey, and Hunter Hughes, Bruno, Dante Mia Raviglio and Sophia Chico. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Agnes Geary along with his two sisters Nancy Biagini and Kathie Geary.
