December 31, 1963 – September 2, 2023

The life of Paul T Gugliuzza was sadly cut short on September 2nd 2023 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Born on New Years Eve 1963 in southern California, Paul graduated high school in 1982 and continued to UC San Diego. He transferred to Chico State where he graduated with a degree in Park and Recreation Management. He discovered his lifelong passion and began his career as a professional ski patrol member. He began his career at Homewood Ski Resort before moving to Squaw Valley (Palisades Tahoe) for over 30 years.
Paul was an avid adventurer and world explorer. He did a season in Australia as a ski patrol. He travel to Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, the Maldives and up and down the California coast. He was a heli-ski guide in Alaska for many seasons, along with a white water raft guide.
Paul is survived by his parents, brother and sister and his nephew along with a loving extended family. He left an indelible mark on the planet with his love for family, friends and adventure and he will be dearly missed. Visit his chute (Paul G’s Extra) at Palisades Tahoe and take a run for him! He would truly love that!
A celebration of life will be held at Tres Amigos Restaurant in the Village at Palisades Tahoe on September 23.
