Obituary: Peter R. Worden

The following Quote from Chuck Yaeger’s book beautifully exemplifies the life of retired Lt. Col. Peter Worden, U.S. Marine Corps Officer and Naval Aviator. “I’ve had a full life and enjoyed just about every minute of it because that’s how I have lived.”

He loved flying. His Military career included two tours in Vietnam. He was a Proud Marine, a very positive and loving man.

Peter died peacefully on July 15, 2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1933, in Santa Rosa, CA and grew up in Healdsburg, CA. He was the son of Rebecca and Albert Worden. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Ann and family; Tony, Joe, Stephanie, Emily, Samantha, Tiffany, Kassandra, Kenneth, Elijah and Leah. He will also be missed by his sister, Alberta and Wesley Stone, and their family in Santa Rosa.

Thank you to all of his doctor’s and excellent nurses at St. Mary’s Hospital. They are the TOP.

On August the 8th there will be a Celebration of Life service at two o’clock at the Village Church, 736 McCourrv in Incline Village. Anyone wishing to do so may donate to the Children’s Diabetic Association in his name.
