Obituary: Theodora J. Oskam-Mouton

With much grief and sorrow, I must announce the passing away of my beloved wife, Theodora, my matrimonial partner for 61 years and 10 months.

She was born on March 3, 1927, in The Netherlands where she was also educated and graduated with the Dutch equivalent of a Masters Degree in teaching. She came to the USA in 1953 and worked for years as a bookkeeper and later on as Office Manager of the Ponderosa Ranch for more than 23 years. During those years many local suppliers here in Incline village referred to her as Mrs. Ponderosa! In his autobiography, Bill Anderson (owner of the ranch) referred to her as: The best of the best!

She was a wonderful and also very attractive woman. Totally unselfish. Forever caring for others, thinking about their interests, and how she might be able to help. Nothing was too much for her.

She leaves behind her husband and two married sons: Gerard, a Harvard degreed corporate lawyer in Irvine, CA, and his younger brother Peter, a business graduate from UNLV and general manager of flooring design studio in Reno, NV.
