Adrian Linton O’Brien, best known by his friends and family as “Tippy” and his long time girlfriend Kathy “Kat” Daniels departed this earth, for unknown reasons on April 23, 2012. Adrian is preceded in death by his parents Terrance J. and Alice T. O’Brien. He is survived by his son Bret O’Brien of Carson City, Nev. and his two sisters Cheryl Harvey and Frankie Totedo both from Phoenix, Ariz. and his brother Ray O’Brien from Tahoe City, Calif.

Tippy was born in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Feb. 15, 1959. He grew up in Tahoe City and attended Tahoe Lake School and North Tahoe High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from November 1977 to October 1984. He moved to Dayton, Nev. in 1988 and met “Kat”. They lived together for the last 14 years.

Tippy was best known for is ability to fix almost anything and his willingness to always help someone in need. He was the owner/operator of Adrian’s Firewood and Timber Products. Most recently he worked as a heavy equipment operator for various construction companies.

He loved the outdoors, riding motorcycles, camping and other outdoor recreational pursuits. He also enjoyed selling things he had fixed or collected, at one of his “never ending yard sales.”
