Obituary: Anderson

On Nov. 25, Jack Theodore Anderson passed away peacefully at home in Truckee at the age of 78 years old, with his loving family surrounding him.Jack was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea. Jack was born Jan. 20, 1927 in Rockford, Ill. He is survived by his wife, June, five children Brad, Beth, Julie, Cheryl and step-daughter Katheryn, along with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Jack was a member of the Masons and he was an Elk in Southern California.Jack was an avid golfer and could be seen out on the courses playing a round of golf or marshaling the course for many of Truckee golf courses or making his friends and everyone else laugh at his many jokes.He will truly be missed by his loving family and many friends.There will be a service at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Truckee on Dec. 9 at 1 p.m.
