Obituary: Cecil W. ‘Bud’ Toole

Bud was born April, 8, 1923, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bud was a longtime resident of Incline, having moved there in 1976, after his retirement from the Navy as a Chief Warrant Officer – 4th grade.

He made many acquaintances from working at the Kings Castle (now Hyatt), Cal-Neva Lodge, as time-keeper, and security at Stillwater Cove Condominiums in Crystal Bay. Bud also attended the Sierra Nevada College, and graduated receiving his B.A. and B.S. in Environmental Science and Arts.

Bud is survived by his daughters, Karen Toole, Kathleen Toole, Colleen Toole, Margaret Giannini, Maura Steinmeyer and Sheila Toole. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dan Toole, Katy Colarchik, Riley Castillo, Sean Castillo, Michaela Castillo, Kelsey Philpot, Nina Boost, Alex Boost, Caitlin Steinmeyer, Brenna Steinmeyer, Kara Steinmeyer, Brendon Steinmeyer, Sarah Avery, Dennis Giannini, Gabriel Giannini, Sydney Toole, Camryn Toole and Granddaughter Kaianne Laskin. Funeral services were held Nov. 16, 2012, at Veteran’s Cemetery in Fernley, Nev.
