Obituary: Dawn Marie Antonucci Eisert – October 12, 1963 to January 12, 2011
Dawn was born Oct. 12, 1963, in Santa Rosa, California. She soon after moved to Truckee with her family. Her father, Mr. A, was a teacher. She went through the school system, from 1st grade to 12th. She worked on and off at OB’s restaurant.
She met her husband Arthur Lee Eisert, and shortly afterward they got married and lived for awhile at Donner Lake. They made the move to Sacramento to be closer to Art’s family. Leah Michelle Eisert was born September 5, 1995. Dawn moved back to Truckee with Leah. Arthur died shortly thereafter.
Dawn has fought a brave fight these past eight and half years so she could watch her daughter grow. Dawn was able to attend Leah’s 8th grade graduation with help of her parents and nurse. She lived at Extended Care Unit at Tahoe Forest Hospital. The staff there is excellent, they took loving care of her.
Dawn was a cheerleader, very artistic, loved trying new cooking recipes. She is survived by her daughter, Leah Eisert, mother Joan Antonucci, both in Truckee. Her father Onorio Antonucci Jr.; and New Mexico, brother Onorio Antonucci III and his family, Rohnert Park, Calif.
Numerous Eisert relatives that have been very supportive over the years, and last but by no least numerous members of the Antonucci family in New Mexico and San Jose. She is at rest with the angels. There will be a private family service in Raton, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers and cards, please send a donation to Bank of the West, 11202 Donner Pass Rd. Truckee, California, in the name of Joan Antonucci.
