Obituary: Don Bury

Don was born July 23, 1947, and passed away November 4, 2012. Don moved to Tahoe City in 1950 with his parents Lenard and Dorothy. They owned the Tahoe City Bakery, located in the Vernon Building, and later moved to the new Safeway center in 1961. Don worked at the bakery with many of his friends.

He graduated from Lake Tahoe School and then Tahoe Truckee High School in 1965. Don loved hot rods. One he owned was a model A Ford that could do wheel stands. He loved driving and worked as a truck driver for local businesses. Don was a true smiling friend to all and would help anybody.

He is survived by his daughter Karma. She would like you to come celebrate Don’s life at the Sawtooth Ridge Cafe in Tahoe City on Saturday November 17th, at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, please go to Bank of America and donate in Karma Bury’s name.
