Obituary: Dorothy Eloise Hertwig

Dorothy Eloise Hertwig died June 15, 2010, at the age of 87. She was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Middletown, Ohio. She served in the Womenand#8217;s Army Corp in WWll. She was a resident of Torrance for 25 years and moved to Fish Camp in 1984. She was a Cub Scout Den leader and Girl Scout leader and had a bachelor of arts in home economics. She enjoyed reading and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Otto Hertwig and brothers Louis and Harry Waldner. She is survived by her son Thorn Hertwig and daughter-in-law Anne; daughter Eve Ramm and son-in-law Steve of Kings Beach; grandchildren Melinda Washko, Robert and Nicole Ramm, Jessica Hertwig and Travis Glover; sister Jeanne Reynolds of San Pedro; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 28 at Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst. Remembrances can be made to the Alzheimerand#8217;s Foundation at 866-232-8484.
