Obituary: Douglas Delmer Kelley

Douglas Delmer Kelley died March 19, 2012, in Florence, Ore. Doug will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind, easy going soul with a warm sense of humor. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, target shooting and golf. He loved to cook and barbecue

Doug was born May 31, 1952, to Earl and Shirley Kelly in Eugene, Ore. The family moved to Squaw Valley in 1959. Doug attended school in Tahoe City and Truckee. He learned carpentry and home building from his father.

Doug returned to Oregon in the early 1970s and also resided in Washington for a few years. He worked as a plumber in the early years and later as a building contractor. At the time of his death his was living in Florence, Ore.



Doug is survived by his son Casey and daughter-in-law Jen, grandson Tavin, father and mother Earl and Shirley, brother Vic and his wife Connie, sister Nancy Mumbert and her husband Jim, and sister Susan Moore and her partner Mel Farver. Doug also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

No services will be held. A celebration of his life will be held in Junction City, Ore., in May.
