Obituary: Henry Patrick Tapia
Henry Patrick Tapia was born on St. Patrickand#8217;s Day 1920 in San Diego. Henry worked as an airplane mechanic and machinist during his 2 years of service in the US Navy and at Lockheed Aircraft. In 1950, he graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and opened up his practice in the San Fernando Valley. In 1959 he moved his practice and family to Truckee, CA. He later pioneered the Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District where he became Supervisor until 1985. He and his wife, Louise who preceded him in death in 2007, were married for 66 years. They met in Dance School where they were paired up to dance together which lasted until they were in their 80s.
Henry is survived by 3 children, Alan Tapia of Rocklin, Lonny Campbell of Placerville and Pat Robinson of Pine Grove; 9 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren. The Family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Alzheimerand#8217;s Foundation. Private Family services were held on April 16, 2010.
