Obituary: Jack S. Davis
March 9, 1934-Dec. 5, 2012
Jack and Mary bought their home in Truckee in 1990, living there part time, and became full time residents from 1999-2006. Jack was very active in the Truckee community and was member of the Noon Rotary Club. Jack and Mary moved to Reno to be closer to Jack’s medical care givers.
Jack had Multiple Myeloma, a rare cancer that affects only 1 in 1 million people and is not curable. He outlived the statistics by surviving 7 years from diagnosis and he put up a brave and courageous fight the last two years of his life. He died peacefully at home with Hospice and Mary’s care.
He will be missed by Mary, his wife and best friend of 27 years; his natural children Kim, Scott, Todd and bonus children Arthur, Susan and David; his beloved grandchildren Jenna, Jordy, Kody, Kasey, Wes, Cassie, Rusty and Maxx; and, his great granddaughter, Brooklyn.
