Obituary: Jayson Zacharia Echevarrieta

Jayson Zacharia Echevarrieta was hit by a car and passed away Feb. 2, 2009 at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael, Calif.

Jayson was born May 20, 1980 in Payson, Utah to Robbie and Darlene Echevarrieta. They moved to the Truckee area in 1982 where he went to Donner Trail School, Truckee Middle School and Truckee High.

Jayson was a man filled with intense love, humor, compassion and respect. In 2005 he became a professional full contact fighter, the following year he composed and produced his own CD and currently he was developing a handyman business in Citrus Heights, a rock band and was teaching guitar.

Jayson is survived by his mother, Darlene Echevarrieta-Riede, stepfather Norm Riede, both of Truckee, uncle Larry Orzalli of Citrus Heights, grandmother Diane Echevarrieta, uncles Bret and Mark Echevarrieta, all of Goshen, Utah, aunt Leisa Musalo of Colfax and several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Jayson will be laid to rest in Goshen, Utah next to his father. A local memorial service will be announced.

We have lost a very talented and loving man to an unforeseen tragedy.
