Obituary: Josie Sullivan passes Jan. 7

Josie Sullivan, 68, resident of Tahoe Vista, died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009. She was born to Anna and Jim Sullivan, Jan. 30, 1940 in Massachusetts.

Josie ran Tahoe City Thrift Store for more than 15 years and was well-known and loved in her community for her generosity and open, loving spirit.

She is survived by her children Phillip and Nicole Duclos, her daughter-in-law Becky, grandchildren Morgan and Rex Duclos; her siblings Jack and Joanie Sullivan and Rena Ann and David Schaffer. She will be missed and loved every remaining day of our lives. Her life will be celebrated in our memories and in our hearts and souls. We send this beautiful soul to God and the angels with our deepest love and gratitude for having been given this time on earth with her.

Friends are invited to attend an informal gathering at her home on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., 248 Pino Grande, Tahoe Vista.
