Karyn Wolf Bemiss, 35, was born at the U.S. Air Force Hospital in Wiesbaden, (West) Germany, on April 23, 1974 to Cathie and Bob Wolf.

The Wolfs moved to Incline Village, Nev., in July of 1975, where Karyn attended Incline Village Nursery School, Incline Elementary, Middle and High School and graduated in 1992. She played AYSO soccer and was an Incline High School cheerleader. She attended University of Nevada, Reno, and graduated in 1997 with a bachelor of science in environmental science.

During college she worked at the Rapscallion Seafood House and subsequently at John Ascuagaand#8217;s Nugget in Sparks, Nev. At the time of her death, Karyn was employed at Safeway in Tahoe City, Calif.

She was a true mountain girl with a wonderful appreciation of the great outdoors and#8212; enjoying long hikes in the hills and endless days in the sun and on the slopes. Karyn will be remembered for her generous heart, cheerful personality, joyful smile and magnificent love of life. She brought sunshine into every life that she touched.

Karyn is survived by her husband Robert Bemiss, parents Cathie and Bob Wolf and brother, Ryan. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, at the Hyatt Regency Lakeside Ballroom on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Anyone who knew and loved Karyn is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to family members or to your charity of choice.
