Obituary: Lawrence A. Kolito

Larry was born in Detroit, Michigan, on Sept. 7, 1931. He passed away on October 20, 2010, with his wife Kay by his side. In addition to Kay, he is survived by his children Michael and Donna of San Jose, California, and his step-sons Bill Thomas of Vancouver, Washington, and Matt Thomas of Livermore, California.

Larry served in the Marine Corp during the Korean conflict. He worked in the automotive industry and the semiconductor industry before retiring to Lake Tahoe in 1991.

Though he did not ski, Larry worked at Squaw Valley Ski Resort for many years. He was, also, one of the founding members of the Truckee/Tahoe Experimental Aircraft Association. For the past eight years, he had been spending his summers at Lake Tahoe and his winters in Palm Springs, enjoying both the mountains and the desert. He will be missed by his family and many friends in both locations.
