His parents Rose and Levi Speck preceded him in death. He is survived by his sons Butchie, Scott and Jeff; all from California, a brother Jim of Incline Village and a sister Anita Crane of Park City, Utah.

A memorial Mass will be held at noon, March 30 at the Assumption Catholic Church, followed by a gathering at the Bar of America in Truckee.
