Obituary: Robert (Bob) A. Nelson

Robert (Bob) A. Nelson, 87, passed away at his home in South Lake Tahoe (CA) on October 3, 2011.Bob was born January 11, 1924 in rural North Dakota (Adams County) to Carl and Lizzie Nelson. He is survived by one brother (Hettinger, ND), two sisters (Fresno, CA andamp; Rapid City, SD) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother (Placerville, CA), and one sister (Lemmon, SD).Bob graduated from Hettinger (ND) High School in 1942. Following graduation, he was employed in the Lemmon, SD area until moving to California in the late 1960s where he made his home in South Lake Tahoe.Bob was an active member of the Construction and General Laborers Union until his retirement. He was recently honored as a member in continuous good standing for 43 years with The Laborers International Union of North America. Following his retirement, Bob enjoyed many hobbies.Bob was cremated in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
