Obituary: Robert P. Dal Bon
Robert P. Dal Bon, 67, of Nevada City, Calif. passed away on March 15, 2009 at the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bob is survived by his two daughters: Michelle Wright and Angela Dal Bon of Tahoe City, his grandchildren, Allison and Gabriel Wright also of Tahoe City, his nieces Maura Thurgate, Katheen Vargha and Therese Maher and his nephew James Dal Bon and their children of the Bay Area. He is predeceased by his mother, Florence Dal Bon, father, James Dal Bon, uncle, Joseph Podesta and aunt, Sister Veronica Podesta.
Robert Dal Bon moved to Squaw Valley during the 1960s and opened the Squaw Valley General Store. He was also a custom homebuilder in the area. In his later years Bob moved to Nevada City to care for his mother and uncle and resided there until his passing.
Services will be held on March 27, 2009 at 11 a.m., St. Canice Catholic Church, 317 Washington St., Nevada City. Reception to follow.
