Obituary: Stemen, Alice "Jean"

Alice Jeanette Lee graced her parents, William and Geraldene Lee, with her brilliant light in Arizona where she was raised with her sister Donna. She later became a longtime resident of San Diego, Calif., married, bore and cherished her beautiful children, and diligently strived to raise them well.

Jean had a lifelong dream of living in the mountains. She finally achieved her dream when she set up residence in a rustic Calpine home in spring, 2001.

She was joyfully surrounded by her beloved children, grandchildren and great grandchild until the very day of her passing. She sorrowfully left their sides with peaceful dignity – she was revered by every person who had the honor of knowing her.

Alice Jeanette is survived by her sister Donna Dedrick; daughter Laree Jeanatte Stemen; sons Michael Lee and Ronald Patrick Stemen; grandson Shawn Michael Newman; granddaughters Nicole Marie, Michelle Jeanette and Kelly Shireen Stemen; and great grandson Anthony Michael Newman. Jean, as mother, grandmother and friend gracefully influenced their lives and likewise touched all who knew her. She will therefore live on in our hearts and our very souls. She will be dearly missed until we meet her again.
