Obituary: Wasem III, Walter W.

Wallie Wasem was born in Bakersfield, Calif. on May 4, 1949 to Walter and Mary Alice Wasem. He was a graduate of East Bakersfield High School and Bakersfield College. He was an electrical contractor and owner of Wasem Electric, like his father before him, in the Truckee and Tahoe areas, where he lived for many years.

On Sunday, Feb. 9, Wallie died suddenly in his home of an apparent heart attack. His main objective and joy in life was taking care of his daughter JC, since her birth 14 years ago.

They spent many happy hours together snowskiing and camping. Wallie was an avid reader with a book nearby at all times. Wallie was preceded in death by his father, Walter W. Wasem, in 1975. He is survived by his daughter, JC (Jordan), his mother Mary Alice Wasem, sister and brother-in-law Marya and Oliver Robinson, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We can hardly believe this fun-loving, humorous person has been called to heaven and left us. We will all miss him so much!
