TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Black Tie Ski Rentals in North Lake Tahoe is on the move this winter and#8212; literally and figuratively. After five successful years of growth, the ski rental delivery company is expanding its fleet of vehicles, hiring more staff and opening a new storefront location to meet the needs of its loyal clients.

In addition to focusing on our core delivery business, we also will provide guests with a new option for rentals this winter at our new store near the Truckee Airport.and#8221;

This winter Black Tie will open at 12219 Business Park Drive, Suite #6, allowing easy access for guests to and from Interstate 80 and Highway 267. This winter Black Tie will offer more than 1,200 premium ski and snowboard rentals available at both the store location and through the delivery service. The company is opening for the 2010-2011 season with 100 percent new equipment in its premium line of rentals; most of which top the SKI Magazine Buyerand#8217;s Guide as the and#8220;best in class.and#8221; Brands available for ski rental include K2, Rossignol, Volkl, Salomon, and Atomic as well snowboards such as K2, Salomon and Palmer. The prices for these rentals are the same (if not less expensive) than most on mountain rental shops in North Lake Tahoe.



The company also is increasing its capacity to service clients in the North Lake Tahoe region by adding more delivery vehicles and hiring more staff who professionally fit the guest and offer local, insider tips to ski resorts.

The company also has a reciprocal arrangement with its South Lake Tahoe Black Tie location providing guests with a convenient option for renting equipment and exploring all resorts around the lake.



Local experts bring the rental equipment directly to each guestand#8217;s hotel room, condominium or vacation home for boot and board fittings. Additional convenience items are available for purchase such as Smartwool socks, Smith goggles, hand/toe warmers, lip balm, etc.

Black Tie Ski Rentals pioneered the concept of delivery ski/snowboard rental equipment nearly nine years ago with the opening of its first location in Steamboat, Colo. The company operated out of a one-car garage before expanding its operation from the flagship location to more than 35 resorts, delivering equipment in 13 locations: Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Squaw Valley, South Lake Tahoe/Heavenly, Mammoth, Aspen/Snowmass, Breckenridge/Keystone, Crested Butte, Steamboat, Telluride, Vail, Winter Park, Big Sky/Moonlight Basin, Park City/Deer Valley and Whistler.
