Conservative candidate forum Saturday in Truckee

TRUCKEE and#8212; A handful of conservative candidates will be in town to talk Saturday.

The Truckee Tahoe California Region Republican Women Federated are hosting and#8220;Thatand#8217;s the Ticket,and#8221; with GOP Trumpeter at the Truckee Donner Public Utility District March 27 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Candidates on Truckee, Tahoe and Nevada County ballots speaking will include Lydia Gutierrez, state superintendent of public instruction, Barry Pruett for Nevada county clerk recorder, Sue Horn for Nevada County assessor, Michael Babich for Californiaand#8217;s 4th congressional district, Bill Chambers and Larry Naritelli, both for governor.

and#8220;Each speaker will be given approximately five minutes to speak, and then theyand#8217;ll stick around until 8 p.m. or until everyone has gone,and#8221; said Carla Embertson, president of the Republican Women group. and#8220;That will give us the chance to meet them one on one and get answers to any questions.and#8221;

Embertson said they invited all conservative candidates on local ballots, and wonand#8217;t be charging anyone to participate.

and#8220;This is not a fundraiser,and#8221; Embertson said.
