Easter activities coming to town

The Truckee-Donner Recreation and Park District will host its annual Easter egg hunt for the 32nd year on Saturday at Sierra Mountain Middle School.
More than 8,000 eggs will be handed out to children, many of the eggs with prizes.
The event is free to children 12 years old and younger. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. with the arrival of the Easter bunny. The hunt will start at 11:30 a.m. After the hunt, there will be hula hoop contests, sack races, an egg toss and other games for the children, as well as free face painting. Hot dogs and sodas will be available for 50 cents each.

Tahoe City Easter egg hunt
The Tahoe City Public Utility District Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an Easter egg hunt this year on Commons Beach in Tahoe City on Saturday, April 15 at 10 a.m. The event is free, and the Easter bunny will be there. Call 583-3796, extension 29.

Calvary Chapel of Truckee will hold an Easter celebration with services at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 16 at the Tahoe Truckee High School Auditorium. Child care is available for both services. Call 587-1711.
