TAHOE CITY, Calif. andamp;#8212; The Mesas are relocating to the Portland area where Richard will be attending Multnomah University, a Bible college. The Mesas would like to give those who have been touched by their family the opportunity to say andamp;#8220;farewell.andamp;#8221; Tahoe Christian Center will be hosting a potluck Sunday, Nov. 14 at 11:30 a.m., 2566 Lake Forest Road, Tahoe City. In 2001, Richard relocated his wife, Heather, and four beautiful daughters; Shea, Mealani, Kaela and Cheyenne from Tucson, Ariz. to come and serve as the Youth Pastor at Tahoe Christian Center. In January 2007 he had the privilege of becoming the Senior Pastor at TCC. Richard and his family have been very involved in the North Tahoe community. Many may know Richard as Coach Mesa. He helped coach football, baseball and softball at one time or another at North Tahoe High School. Richard Mesa has been involved with softball with the Parks andamp; Rec., coaching and playing. Over the past nine years Richard has been a positive influence in the lives of many youth adults in the area. The rest of the family has been influential in the community as well. If anyone needed a listening ear, someone to brighten their day or a good laugh one of the Mesaandamp;#8217;s was sure to accomplish it for them. As they have been many things to this community, this community has been many things to them and they are very grateful to have been part of such a special and beautiful place. So please come and help us send them off.andamp;#8212; Submitted to aedgett@sierrasun.com
