Gather andamp;#8217;round for North Tahoe Tree Lighting

KINGS BEACH, Calif. andamp;#8212; The Annual Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, 5-7 p.m. at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. The event is sponsored by the North Tahoe Public Utility District, the North Lake Tahoe Boys andamp; Girls Club and the North Tahoe Business Association. This year Liberty Energy has donated all new LED tree lights for the event which helps the District continue to provide holiday decorations while saving utility costs. Thank you Liberty Energy! The event starts with Santa and Mrs. Clausandamp;#8217; arrival in front of the building and the lighting of the trees. Following Santa into the building, families will find crafts to construct, pictures with Santa and refreshments. North Tahoe Business Association will also have a bake sale table for those who would like to purchase some treats to take home. The event is free and open to the public.andamp;#8220;This event is an opportunity for the community families to come out and begin the holiday season by gathering together to make crafts, visit with Santa and have some warm soup, cocoa, and treats,andamp;#8221; said Kathy Long, park and facilities manager.The North Tahoe Public Utility District provides sewer and water service to the residents of Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat and Agate Bay. The District owns, manages and maintains the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista which provides recreation opportunities to residents and visitors. In addition, the District owns and/or maintains all of the public beaches in the District including Kings Beach State Recreation Area, Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, and Secline Beach to name just a few.
