TAHOE, Calif. andamp;#8212; World-class fly fishing is available all around the greater Tahoe area. The Lake Tahoe Basin has numerous opportunities for fly fishing, but also has a limited season. Join local fishing expert Victor Babbitt to learn about how, where and when to fish in and around Lake Tahoe at a presentation on Thursday, Aug. 16, 6 p.m. (no host bar begins at 5:30 p.m.) at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences, 291 Country Club Drive, Incline Village, Nev.Victor will discuss fishing options and will allow plenty of time for questions and answers. It will be like walking into your local fly shop and getting the skinny on fishing in the area.Victor Babbitt is owner/guide of Tahoe Fly Fishing Outfitters. He coordinates 10 local guides and fishing/hunting trips throughout the region. He is also a Fish andamp; Game Commissioner in El Dorado County and has been involved with recreational fishing and conservation issues for more than 30 years. There are five watersheds within a few hoursandamp;#8217; drive including the Carson and Walker Rivers where he sends most of his clients.
