Lake Tahoe communities comes together to clean up andamp;#8216;Bay to Bayandamp;#8217; district

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. andamp;#8212; On Saturday, June 4, 2011 the Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Carnelian Bay and Crystal Bay communities will take to the streets to pick up trash. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in each community. Check in stations for each community are: Kings Beach, conservancy lot next to Enviro Rents at the corner of Highway 28 and Coon Street; Tahoe Vista, Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort (Cable Car Ice Cream); Carnelian Bay, parking lot next to Gar Woods and the Tahoe Biltmore in Crystal Bay. Maps will be on hand at registration tables to designate clean up areas. All clean up volunteers and participants will receive a blue recycle bag, Sunflower starter plants, complimentary flower pony pack and a Clean Up Day Hat. Volunteers can also look for andamp;#8220;golden itemsandamp;#8221; and win prizes. Golden items include a golden wrench, golden disk, golden computer mouse and a golden coffee cup.There is also a barbecue for all volunteers after clean up at The Grid Bar andamp; Grill, with great food from The Grid, ice cream from Susie Scoops Ice Cream in Incline Village, Nev. and music featuring The Wrinkle. Incline Village, Nev. Tahoe City and Truckee are also hosting Clean Up Day activities, creating a North Lake Tahoe wide effort to clean up our communities and get ready for the summer season!This year, there will also be a community yard sale, Sunday, June 5, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Bay to Bay residents and business owners are encouraged to participate in this first ever yard sale.
