Meeting with Placer County to reform beaver policy in Kings Beach

KINGS BEACH, Calif. and#8212; Placer County Supervisor, Jennifer Montgomery, will meet with concerned citizens and experts from Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Thursday, Nov. 4, 4 p.m. in the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach to review simple and inexpensive alternatives to killing beavers. Proven methods of flood control will be viewed and discussed together with the vital role beavers play in Lake Tahoe’s ecosystem. Be part of a group with future plans to also address the policies and treatment of other wildlife species in the Lake Tahoe area.
